On Friday through to Saturday, with first strong gusts of wind of wind, Iberdrola decreed it an "Emergency situation".

At around 7 a.m. on  Saturday there were 300 workers already mobilised. This was practically the tota number of the workers of Iberdrola and its contracts.  They were ready to face the tens of thousands of incidences in the electrical system that were caused by winds of more than 120 kilometers per hour.

The electrical company, had to reinforce the telephone desks for  "The attention to the client" as they were close to collapse.  Howver, they could not make specific yesterday an exact number of the subscribers who from the dawn of Friday had remained without electricity. Only this data was available: Saturday to the 18,30 hours more than 20,000 clients did not have electricity. Before that hour, the technicians already had corrected many failures. Later, and until only yesterday, the company continued receiving warnings of incidences.

The strong gusts of wind made it difficult to carry out the repairs since it was practically impossible for workers to accend the electricity pylons. Even so, and after working all night, Sunday in the morning, according to the same sources, there were still 2,500 houses without electricity. But the certain thing is that, although the company could not make specific the exact number it recognised that many of these users were without electricity for 24 hours.

Iberdrola yesterday made sure that  they only went to repair the small failures of low tension cables in dispersed zones.  Complete sreas of population such as the one of Aigües de Busot they followed up in the afternoon.  They were without electrical provision from the Saturday and so the telephone help centre ("of attention to the client") continued receiving calls.

The electricity cables were harmed by the fall of advertising panels, roof tiles, trees and even by the rubbing of cardboards, papers or bags that caused that the securityvprotectors to cut the current. In many cases the workers had to restore the provision of electricty with generator sets, whilst the lines were repaired.
