Benidorm is to play host next year to the start of the Tour of Spain cycle race with a time trial. Race officials revealed that they had chosen Benidorm because of the infrastructure of the holiday town that plays host to three million tourists annually.This revelation now completes the list of start cities for the three major races next year, with the Tour de France starting in the Vendée on the west coast of the country, and the Giro d'Italia starting in Turin to finish in Milan.
