The much-vaunted economy measures undertaken by the Infrastructure Ministry have caused a considerable blow to Castellón, and the twenty thousand jobs promised by the Ministry along with the High Speed Train are also out the window. 

However, extraordinarily, the Ministry also appears to have thrown away twenty million Euros it has spent on preliminary studies and reports, with the arrival of the High Speed Train in Castellón now totally dependent on private funding, which will not be put out for contract bidding until June next year. 

The Ministry now says that 2014 will be the year the HST connection to Castellón is finished.
