As was expected over two thousand people were in Teulada last night for a dinner to celebrate the start of the next political season, and amongst the attended were Francisco Camps, the President of the Valencian Community, Valencia Mayoress Rita Barbera, Jose Joaquin Ripoll, the President of the Diputacion of Alicante, Federico Trillo the Partido Popular MP for Alicante and a former Defence Minister and Esteban Gonzalez Pons, who told the gathering that he was there in representation of PP leader Mariano Rajoy.In his speech, Mr Gonzalez Pons affirmed that as far as the Party was concerned nationally, Mr Camps would have its backing as he stands for re-election next year.
The dinner was held in the Canor restaurant in Teulada with over a hundred reporters credited to cover the even.
