The Valencia Life Network reports...Trini Miro, the Consellera for Culture has revealed that between 2005 and 2009, the City of Light in Alicante has been responsible for adding 113.76 million Euros to the Valencian economy and made over 1,500 contracts with companies in the autonomy.
She also added that during this time, a total of 49 productions had been shot in the studios four television series and forty-five films. Amongst the international productions that have used the studio complex are Asterix at the Olympic Games with Alain Delon and Gerard Depardieu; His Majesty Minor and director Jean-Jacques Annaud; Manolete with Adrien Brody and Penelope Cruz, and director Francis Ford Coppola and his personal work Tetro.
