Why Valencia can't pay its bills

06 August 2010

Description:

The Valencia Life Network reports...

Isabel Bonig, the Cordinator for the Partido Popular in the Vall d'Uixo, where she is also Mayoress, stated yesterday that the cash problems facing the Valencian Government are the same as those facing everyone at the moment.

She gave this response after being asked at a press conference about the difficulties the Valencian Government is having in paying its suppliers and in particular the phone and internet provider Telefonica.  In response to that Maria Jose Catala, the PP Mayoress of Torrent stated that Telefonica is interested in taking care of a good client and the Valencian Government is a good client.

The Valencian Government, just like any other autonomy is also in talks with electricity company Iberdrola, but the main problem is that the Socialist Government is refusing to pay the Valencians the right amount of aid per inhabitant.
