David Serra, the Partido Popular spokesman for Infrastructure in the Valencian Parliament, stated yesterday that the Consell has taken a stance to the effect that infrastructures are extremely important to the growth of the autonomy, as opposed to the cuts recommended by Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.
This was the response to Francesc Signes, the Socialist Infrastructure spokesman, who had stated that Francisco Camps, the President of the Valencian Community, was cutting infrastructures without telling anybody. Mr Serra also gave an example of the "Strategic Infrastructure Plan" for the Autonomy 2010/2020, under which the Valencian Government will invest some twenty-seven billion Euros and create around seven hundred thousand jobs.
