Description:
The Valencia Life network reports...A study is under way to determine why vast quantities of dangerous jellyfish of the Carybdea Marsupialis species appear to be congregating especially in the Raset beach of Denia.
The first incidence of this occurred two years ago, and the team investigating their precedence is headed by Alicante University, the LIFE organisation of the EU and the Conselleria of the Environment. Normally these species are to be found in the Pacific, Indian and Caribbean Oceans, although they have been sighted in the Mediterranean since 1878, but not in such huge numbers.
