Comedian Leo Bassi yesterday in Benidorm made an attempt to get into the Guinness Book of Record with a giant floating rubber duck, with a perimeter of forty metres, a diameter of fourteen metres, a height of seven metres and a total weight of 250 kilos that took three hours to inflate. 

He is hoping to get an entry into the record books as a result of  what he called a trauma that occurred during his infancy, but it will be six weeks before he receives an answer from Guinness. He later stated that he would be delighted to  float his giant duck in the waters off Algeciras.
