A drop in production of citrus fruit in Castellon has now had its knock-on effect on exports from the Province that have fallen by 18% over last year.

In particular two main markets have been requesting less fruit: the United States and Russia ( where more than twenty-six thousand tons were exported in the 2009 season, as opposed to only 10,000 this time around).
