The Valencia Life Network reports...

The unemployment figures for the Valencian Community rose by over two percentage points last month and as a result rose over the psychological barrier of half a million. This increase is above the Spanish national average (2.03%), but not above the rise in unemployment in La Rioja (3,56%), Asturias (3,47%), or Castilla/La Mancha(3.32%).

These new figures mean that in effect between February 2009 and February this year, some 91,898 Valencians have lost their jobs, an inter-annual increase of 22.14%.
