The Valencia Life Network reports...

Foreign tourists who visited the Valencian Community last year spent about 679 million Euros less than in 2008.  This represents a reduction of 14% and unfortunately puts the Valencian Community close to the top of the table in this area, being one percentage point away from the Canary Islands, who registered a drop of 13%.

In terms of nationalities, by far and away the biggest drop was in the British visitors - almost 18% less than 2008.
