The Valencia Life Network reports....

The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia has revealed its programme for this year that includes some great international events as well  as new IMAX films and special attention being focused on the environment in the this Year of International Biological Diversity. The complex will play host once again to the MTV Winter concert on February 13, which will be headlined by The Arctic Monkeys.

Next May will once again see the prestigious international riding event The Global Champions Tour being staged in the complex.

Summer will mark the staging of the Internet Celebration Campus Party, whilst in the autumn attention will be focused on tennis with another edition of the Valencia Open 500 that is to take place in the Agora.

The Prince Felipe Science Museum, which this year has its 10th anniversary, is marking it with a number of  exhibitions based on biodiversity, and has a special programme in this regard. whilst two other exhibitions - The Theatre of Electricity and Science on Stage will astonish visitors with scientific demonstrations and experiments, whilst another of the proposals for 2010 is a Night at The Museum tour aimed at families who want to visit later in the day, and who will even be offered to spend the night at the museum

The Hemisferic is to present at least three new IMAX films during the course of this year - A Magic Journey to Africa, Animopolis and Arabia.

The Oceanografic this year will open a new area dedicated to coral reefs. The first phase will see the introduction of soft coral, which will later be expanded. In addition this year will see the overhauling of the Aquarium of the Senses that features seven different tanks filled with highly unusual species that populate the depths of the Pacific Ocean. The Oceanografic will also stage some special events this year including the highly popular Backstage Visits, Be A Trainer for a Day and Sleeping with Sharks. Sharks will also be the theme of a number of conferences in the Tuesday at the Oceanografic series.
