The Valencia Life Network reported that Francisco Camps, The President of the Valencian Community, had a meeting yesterday with Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero in the Moncloa Palace during which he outlined the main problem areas for the autonomy.At a later press conference, he stated that he had managed to secure an agreement from the Prime Minister over the increase in population meaning that in effect, the autonomy would be receiving more compensation from the central government. He also stated that he had succeeded in persuading the Prime Minister that all Spaniards are treated the same, whether they are in the Valencian autonomy, Andalucia, Madrid or Catalunia.
Other subjects that were discussed included the current economic crisis, unemployment, water and the High Speed Train.
He also stated that he expected to have a letter from the Prime Minister confirming the details of their agreement as early as next week
