What 2010 Holds

The Valencia Life Network reports:

After all the celebrations of Christmas, New Year and the Three Kings, 2010 will start with a series of alarming price rises across almost all sectors.

The price of a bottle of Butane gas will rise by 3.36% to 11 Euros and five centimes; suburban rail fares are to rise by 6% and national rail fares will be increased by 5%; stamp prices are also set to rise with national mail rising by 6,25%, international letters of up to 20 grams sent within the EU being increased by 3,22%; electricity charges will be increased by 2.64%, and TVA will be increased by two percentage points to 18% on July 1.

However, for the second year running there will be no increase in telephone charges, and only a  minute increase in certain tolls on motorways, with the Valencian Rail Service FGV revealing that it is also freezing it's fares this year.
