Description:
The Valencia Life Network reports .....Elena Bastidos, the President of the Valencian Community Federation of Municipalities and Provinces has revealed that a great many Town Halls in the autonomy have been forced to seek loans from banks on a short term basis in order to pay wages at the end of the year, as well as bonuses where these are applicable.
In a statement, Mrs Bastidos revealed that the vast majority of Town Halls are technically bankrupt, and the problem has been made greater by the banks, who generally do not have much faith in Town Halls being able to repay their loans, with such municipalities as Teulada/Moraira and Callosa d’En Sarria, where workers are being forced into working shorter hours.
However, these are not the exception, generally they are the rule.
