The mystery of the whereabouts of Francisco Camps, the President of the Valencian Community, who was noticeably absent from the celebrations over the weekend on the anniversary of the Spanish Constitution, were made clear yesterday: he is in Abu Dhabi, where he is undertaking an important trade mission on behalf of the Valencian Autonomy, meeting yesterday with Sheikha Lubna Khalid Ultan al Qasimi, the Commerce Minister and one of the most influential women in the Emirate.

Both examined trade possibilities and the Sheikha accepted an invitation to visit Valencia as soon as possible as a further sign that some very important trade agreements may well be in the making, probably also involving Valencian companies in the extensive building programme that is being undertaken in the Emirate.
