Today marks the start of a special campaign to cut down alcohol consumption by drivers over the Christmas period. Some three thousand members of the Traffic Police will undertake this campaign and it is estimated that some forty thousand drivers will be stopped at the various control points throughout the Valencian Community. During the last campaign of this sort that took place in July, over seven hundred drivers were found to have been over the limit.
