Description:
Bells that ring without touching them, jumping rings and electricity that arcs through the air, these are a few of the experiences that members of the public can witness in the new Electricity Theatre space at the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum in Valencia. The Electricity Theatre is on the first floor of the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum where, in front of an audience of around fifty people and in a setting made to look like the laboratory of a scientist-inventor, a performer will literally make your hair stand on end with different demonstrations.
Electricity surrounds us and is also inside of us: the nervous system, for example, works through electrical impulses. It is hard to imagine a world without this form of energy, which has become one of the most important sources for technological development thanks to its ease of production and its vast number of applications.
Visitors can also see how heat travels from one object to another, and the difference between cold and warm blooded animals with the help of a bearded dragon, or see their image in the infrared spectrum.
