Description:
Buñol, entertainment guaranteedThe extraordinary landscapes of Buñol, its natural and cultural heritage, exceptional food and drink and, of course, its world-famous tomato festival, La Tomatina, have all made the town a tourist destination par excellence. And until the 31st August, you can join in the fun as Buñol celebrates its patron saint, San Luis Beltrán, in festivities that have been officially declared Of Interest to International Tourism.
Every year, thousands of people flock to Buñol from all corners of the globe, brimming with curiosity and the excitement of being part of one of the most internationally renowned festivals in the world: La Tomatina. On the 26th August, you can help paint the town red, as everything in Buñol - from clothing to the fronts of buildings - takes on the rich hue of the hundreds of thousands of kilos of tomatoes that are thrown in a short space of time.
And while you're there, why not make the most of it and take a trip to the Cueva Turche cave and admire the lake and the waterfall cascading from the rock face? Or you could visit the extraordinary mediaeval castle, which dates back to the 13th century, between the river Buñol and the Barranco de Borrunes ravine.
You'll be amazed!
