The quality of water at 95% of beaches in the Region of Valencia is excellen

According to the latest analyses performed by the Regional Department of the Environment, Water, Urban Planning and Housing, 185 beaches in the Region of Valencia (95.39% of the swimming areas analysed) have excellent quality water; six beaches have good quality water and two beaches presented an acceptable quality of water.

By province, all of the 46 beaches analysed in Castellón offer an excellent quality of water. The province of Alicante has 91 beaches with excellent quality water, of the 93 areas analysed. And the province of Valencia has 48 beaches with excellent quality water, of the total of 57 areas checked.

These data are part of a weekly information programme to check the quality of swimming areas in the Region of Valencia. The purpose of this programme is to constantly monitor the conditions of beaches in the three provinces during the summer season.
