The Valencia and Ryanair debate continues .....According to a news report in Valencia Life Netwok it has now been revealed that budget airline RyanAir is in talks with the Spanish Airports Authority AENA over reopening its base in Valencia. President Michael O’Leary during a press conference announcing these talks also cleared up the persistent rumours that the airline was considering shutting down its operational bases in Spain in favour of Italy
According to a news report in Euronews, low-cost airline company Ryanair is negotiating a full-time return to Valencia airport.
At present, only a minimum number of flights operated by the Irish airline travel to and from the terminal in Manises, but president Michael O’Leary announced in a press conference that a million seats would be on sale in October and November for just one euro each.
Toilet Tax and Fat Tax?
He said the idea of charging a pound to use the toilets or a ‘fat tax’ for overweight passengers have been ruled out, but standing-room only flights continue to be a possibility. O’Leary joked that Ryanair considered charging extra tax for ugly passengers but that he ruled this out because “I would have to pay more whenever I travelled with my own airline.
