Shortage of Rental Cars in Valencia and many other places - A possible solution

We have heard from friends recently that there is now a big problem with rental cars at Valencia.  This is a new problem this year in many places. Then the email below came in, which may help solve the problem, so we are publishing it as a news item in case it can be of help to you.

We have had a huge number of enquiries recently that we have been unable to help with due to the shortages of rental cars this summer. These shortages are affecting all areas of Europe but most especially the Spanish Costas and islands where some cars are sold out until late August and late booking is virtually impossible. Car hire rates in Spain have also risen dramatically for the peak season of July and August.
