Description:
This whole case is about some very expensive suits that it was alleged Mr. Camps ordered but were allegedly paid for by some so called corrupt people all caught up in a corrupt plot directed against the Valencian President Francisco Camps. These are the allegations
Three companies involved in this corrupt plot directed by Francisco Correa, who was jailed for several months, paid for the clothes that were ordered by Francisco Camps, president of the Valencian Community, between January of 2006 and November of 2007 in the stores Milano y Forever Young de Madrid. Some of these clothes, acquired in Milan, were given back because to the Valencian president did not like how he looked in these suits.
A witness, an employee of one of these companies stated that the process was always the same: Camps made the orders, the director of sales of the store, José Tomás, took measurements and then took care of acquiring the merchandise, and later it would be invoiced. Pablo Crespo, one of the managers of the corrupt plot, would then receive payment through different companies from the network: Diseño Asimétrico, Servimadrid Integral and Orange Market.
In order to credit all these payments there were four cheques of Orange Market in favor of Milan in an account of Barclays Bank and several banking transfers in favour of Forever Young coming from the companies of de Diseño Asimétrico y Servimadrid Integral.
The summary incorporated the declarations of several workers from both stores that vouch for this procedure. The Director of the branch of the Paseo de La Habana, José Tomás commented that we had orders to receive what appeared in a document, regarding pending payments for 30,000 Euros in suits for Francisco Camps, Pedro Garcia, Rafael Betoret, Ricardo Coast, Alvaro Perez and Curled Pablo and that he would seek to receive the payments.
Various staff from different stores testified that they had personally seen Mr. Camps in the respective stores involved in the plot. Then it was further stated that the company called "Orange Market" paid by means of bank transfer purchases conducted between November of 2006 and September of 2008 that were pending of payment and in the name of Mr. Camps for three suits taken between the 14th November 2006 and 4th January of 2007. One member of staff stated that he saw Mr. Camps in the Castilian store 140, in the evening. It was in the visit taken care of by José Tomás.
This person stated that he never saw Mr. Camps in the store but knew that he had been there to collect the goods, as José Tomás had told him so, but that he did not know how they were invoiced or paid for. Outside the store he was even well-known for selling suits to gentlemen of the PP. The visits of the gentlemen of the Orange Market company with regard to the purchase of suits took place in the following months.
Guide2Valencia comment.
As they say, "The plot Thickens" and it will be very interesting to see the outcome with all the evidence piling up. We must say that Mr. Camps always looks immaculately dressed and we make no comment on where or how he buys his suits. We just think that it's a shame for such a scandal to exist with someone so dedicated to the Valencia Community.
