Those renting out appartments and villas will need to beware of a new law that was passed in the Valencian Parliament.

The Valencian Government has passed a new decree making it obligatory for all owners of apartments or homes that they rent out to belong to a central register.

The only sort of activity exempt from registering will be the Aparthotels as they offer 24 hour services.

Tourism Consellera Angelica Such stated that the creation of the Register was aimed at calming the atmosphere down in the tourist sector over the non-registered offering of apartments to let for a holiday over the Internet, which has been of considerable concern.
