Valencia Football Stadium to host the Spain vs England match on February 11th!

The Mestalla stadium has been confirmed as the venue for a friendly international between Spain and England next February 11th.

It will be the first time Valencia has hosted the national side since June 2005 when the visitors were Bosnia.

The other venue tipped to stage what will be a fascinating test of how far England have come since the arrival of Fabio Capello last summer, was the La Cartuja stadium in Sevilla after Real Madrid's ground was ruled out in a spat between the two football federations over racism that ended in a letter of apology from the English FA.

In the latest FIFA rankings published earlier this week, Spain keep their number one status while England climb back into the top ten after an encouraging start to their World Cup qualification campaign under the tutelage of their new, no-nonsense Italian supremo.
