100,000 falleros take offerings to the Virgin in Valencia.  This is a major part of Fallas week for Valencia Spain.

The act, that began yesterday will finalise today when the Greater Fallera arrives. 60,000 branches of carnation flowers will dress the mantle to the Virgin. In all,100,000 people between falleros and musicians will participate both days with long procesions through the streets of Valencia and ending up in La Plaz de La Virgen.     there theyeir flowers will be placed as an offering that, within the program of the celebrations will also celebrate the Virgin of the Abandoned ones, employer of Valencia. The mantle of the virgin will be decorated with 60,000 branches of carnations.

This will happen before the image of the de la Virgen de los Desamparados (The abandoned ones) where the 385 falleras commissions of the capital and populations of its metropolitan area such as Burjassot, Mislata and Quart de Poblet, integrated as the Junta Central Fallera (JCF).

The offering, which is one of the greatest acts of the Fallas celebrations began yesterday at 16,00 hours and concluded with the parade of the Infantile Greater Fallera, Maria Berbel. The second day of the offering, TODAY, will begin at 16,00 hours and will finish when the Greater Fallera, Marta Agustín, appears before the employer of the Valencians. The vestidores of the floral mantle of the Virgin will use to make the drawing 60,000 branches of carnations, that the same falleras have been depositing there after their procession. Each branch contains twelve carnations and each commission will be able to take a different color, from red, pink or even yellow.

It really is a great spectacle and recommended as a "Must see"!
