Old derelict theatre burnt down in Valencia City Centre.  The Princess Theatre Valencia reduced to rubble in a fire that started next door in la calle del Moro Zeit in the centre of Valencia.

A fire reduces to rubble the old Theater Princess, in center of Valencia.  The blaze actually started in the building  next door.  Nobody was injured and the fire didn't reach adjacent buildings.  The building was in ruins for 20 years.

The building was boarded up and in disuse which is why there were no injuries.   Still the cause of the fire is not known and luckily did not reach to the adjacent houses, although the neighbours vacated adjacent buildings to be safe.

The fire started shortly before three o'clock in the morning.  This historical building, The Princess Theatre, located next to las torres de Quart, was one of the first theatres in Valencia and it's construction dates from year 1853.  The Princess was designed by architect Jose Zacarias Camaña and, although it was in a dilapidated state, was considered of historical interest. It is the property of the Valencian Autonomous Government. The fire was extinguished first thing on Friday, although six units of the City Fire Service remained in place, right in the historical center, carrying out tasks of inspection and cooling of the rubble and the rest of the building.
