If you have the luck to have a morning off when, especially if it's a Monday and the activities in the city are limited, a good option is to spend some calm moments in the Natural Park of Albufera.  It's a magical place which must be the envy of other places. Especially so if you are lucky enough to go when the rice fields that have just been watered, since the sky is connected with the Earth and it's a special moment, mainly for the photographic enthusiast.

This is a park with ample tourist opportunities. From a trip out in Rosa, the first professional boat, to the trips organised by Tonet, that also offers the possibility of knowing the interior of a traditional Valencian cottage, or the techniques of fishing. Also guided tours to the dunes, beaches and the floodgates are available.

In addition, it is the Viewpoint of the Gullet of the Pujol, most central of all the wharves, from which the whole lake in the park can be seen. Four years ago it was renovated and it offers the best views, as well as a trip in a boat of about 40 minutes around the Reserva de la Mata del Fang. Also, in the School of Naturaleza La Madalleta, where the very smallest can know the different ecosystems from the beach, the close by dunes, the nets, the lake itself and the marsh. This year the lovers of the nature are in luck, because according to the census realised by the Technical Office of the Natural Park, this winter they have 116,539 birds in the park.
