Description:
As you can see from the map, this area is directly south of Valencia City, so is easily accessible by autovia, from almost anywhere. If you are north or west of Valencia we recommend starting at El Saler and working your way south. If you are from the south of Valencia Province, it may be best to start at Cullera and work your way north to El Saler.Visit El Saler and all the beaches down to Cullera. These are used by Spanish holiday makers and there is ample (usually free) parking and showers on most beaches. All beaches are very clean.
At the traffic lights in El Saler turn towards the "playa" and there are two nice restaurants open all year that are almost on the beach. Remember Spanish Lunch time is 2 pm to 4 pm.
On the way, visit El Palmar with it's typical and many Paella restaurants which is situated on the Natural Lake of Albufera. Note that the original Paella (The Paella Valenciana) actually originated in this area and you can see all the paddy fields where the rice is cultivated
There are more towns and beaches on the route that can be explored if you have time.
Cullera is a lovely seafront town with plenty of bars, restaurants, attractive beaches and a long promenade.
Whichever way you choose allow plenty of time, as you can have a very pleasant day out with luch at 2 p.m.
