"ORANGE" ROUTE

Tourism Carcaixent brings you a very interesting experience.

Exhibition of farming implements, field tools and the orange house. Eating in a garden of orange trees, declared natural place and to enjoy zone of games, lunchrooms, paelleros and the landscape of la Ribera.

THE ROUTE

• Orange Cathedral
• Current store of Oranges.
• Carreres's Hort (museum collection).
• Soriano's Hort (Natural Place).
• Option ecological agriculture=Experimental Agrarian Center.
• Option activities and games= Playful Space to the Calçada. 

DURATION ROUTE:

4 hours + optional food (you can consult the available menus by contacting us).

RECOMMENDED PUBLIC

Students.
People who do not know the Valencian Community.
For other public, the route adapts according to the profile and number of interested visitors.

NUMBER OF PERSONS IN THE GROUPS

Minimum: 15 persons.
Maximum: 50 persons.

OTHERS

From September will carry out holding a guided routes on the second Sundays of every month. The routes will go out at 10:00 from the Town Hall and it will be a necessary to enrol before, to be able to fit the groups. The routes dates will be published in the agenda. The inscriptions can be realized sending the information from the contact page.

Carcaixent is a declared municipality of Touristic Interest.

Possesses little examples of the church of the Reconquest, San Roc's Hermitage of the XIII Century, declared National Interest.

It was a Silk Core of recognized prestige from The XVIth to XIXth Centuries.

ORANGE BIRTHPLACE

In addition also was in this city where THE FIRST ORANGE TREE STOOD PLANTED for its marketing, thanks to the initiative of the priest Monzó at the end of the XIX Century.. The future vision of this man allowed that the Valencia region should develop one of the economic activities that has been fundamental for  wealth and development to the present day: the orange.
